who was Adam Toledo
Adam Toledo was a 13 year old hispanic boy who was shot dead by police in Chicago on the 29th of March, 2021. at the time of being shot, he was unarmed and HAD HIS HANDS UP.
he was compliant with the police, as is evident from bodycam footage. yet he was still shot in the chest.
if you are from a country outside of the US, it is important you don’t sign petitions meant to be signed explicitly from in the US, as it can invalidate the petition and cause it to be taken down. an easy way to tell if it is intended for US audiences only is if the petition only gives the option to enter ZIP code and state.
we aren’t criminals, or animals. we are human beings. treat us like them

HOW ELSE CAN YOU HELP: spread information and awareness on this. send any petitions that can only be signed in the US to online friends etc. raise hispanic/latine voices, as well as other minorities affected.
please remember that spreading videos of the actual murder can be incredibly triggering for the community affected and others. if you must repost them, PLEASE trigger warning them correctly.
